Choosing between V2 +70-300cx and Panasonic G80 + PL 100-400

After problems with my 70-300 cx, which Nikon fixed at the second attempt, plus issues with my backup V2 body, I took the plunge and bought the M4/3rds outfit for birding/wildlife.  Just got the 70-300 back and have to make a decision about which to keep.  I love the small, lightweight form of the N1, plus the brilliant AF but am having worries about robustness, as my gear is outdoors all the time as well as about getting future replacement bodies.  The G80 and the 100-400 are slightly bigger, noticeably heavier and lag a little in AF capability (though not as much as I'd feared).  If the IQ of the G80 and the sharpness of the Leica lens combine to outperform the N1 gear, then I will reluctantly sell the 70-300 cx.  So, a very quick, non-technical test.  Shooting as I would in the field,  i.e. hand held, VR/IS on, full zoom, wide open I took some indoor shots of my bookshelf, in goodish daylight from a the nearby window, at 1/500 and 1/200.  Then I took some more of a farmhouse, in good sunlight, at 1/000 and at a distance of about 800 yards.  I was particularly interested at how the PL lens held up to the cx lens at distance, as I'd heard that the N1 lens was much the better performer at long range. All shots were RAW and put through DXO Optics Pro with Prime noise reduction, with no other input.

Here are the results.  What do people think?  I'll take more, of birds, before making my mind up.
