Nice shots.

I agree regarding the G7, which replaced my two G6's and totally sold me on m4/3. I upgraded to the G85, primarily for IBIS, and compared RAW shots processed in Silkypix Pro 7 between both cameras and found the color, resolution and DR to be virtually identical...even though the G85 doesn't have the optical low-pass filter. With the same lens on each camera, I really could not tell the difference in test shots.

Both cameras are nearly identical regarding buttons, menu, dials, output and can be programmed to operate nearly identically making switching between them a no-brainer. So now, the G7 carries the Panny 42.5/f1.7 with it's own stabilization as my "portrait unit" and the G85 for other stuff. My favorite pair of cameras in 50 years of photography.

I'm looking at a new camera, and I'm leaning toward a choice between either the G7 or the G85. Right now the G7 (14-42) goes for about $600 new, and the G85 (12-60) for about $900. I mostly want a camera for the 4K video capabilities, and stills are kind of secondary. The videos I'm shooting would, for the most part, be stationary with the camera mounted on a tripod, thus minimizing the importance of stabilization. But, it's always good to future-proof. It's interesting that the G7's price hasn't dropped a little more following the release of the G85, but that suggests that maybe there is still a strong market for it.
