DCD Firmware 'Obsolete' Old Lens?

Could latest Distortion Control Data firmware update 'obsolete' my old 'rare' AF Micro Nikkor 55 2 8? It is not the AIS/MF version. It's no good now, on first time I tried to use lens since end of last year. The camera DCD firmware was updated last week.

So now it is no good on both D750 and D7500 though in November-Dec. my only uses, it was fine.

But it worked on D800 at B&H yesterday. AF and all. Lens was bought used November 2017. 30 years old. Not even on Nikon site. But is on Ken Rockwell's though.

My cameras would not even go into Live View with it. No info. is transmitted or readable on camera LCD. Changing aoerture on lens is not shown on camera LCD, for example.

More in the other post. Sorry I cannot edit or delete that post and I see that no one will pay any mind to it because posting from phone sent it in messed up form, before I could do anything

Thank you. Please forgive double post.
