Sunrise over the rockies
4

Sunrise was at a civilized 7:15a in Dillon CO this past Wednesday.

In the past, I would have under-exposed this scene so that my view-finder showed the scene like I saw it. But this time, I decided to increase the exposure by 1/3ev to push the histogram to the right. I could have gone further. I then brought down the exposure in post to reflect my interpretation. (In the last pic, it is -.3ev)

The advantage ( Read about ETTR to learn more) is that there is more light on the sensor and, as a result, less noise in the image. I have to experiment with this more especially in scenes like this.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.
