FX zoom lens on DX camera FOV question

I have a DX camera with a couple of lenses, the 55-300 DX and the 70-200 FX. My understanding is that the FX lens on a DX camera should be equivalent to a 105-300 DX lens. The FX lens manual even says this, but that's not what I'm seeing. When the 70-200 is zoomed all the way to 200mm, the FOV is wider than the 55-300 zoomed all the way to 300mm. You can see this in the two samples below. The FX @ 200mm is first then the DX @ 300mm.

What am I missing here guys?

FX @ 300mm

DX @ 300mm
