D7200 - Midrange zoom confusion

Hello all,

I am terribly sorry if this question has been asked so many times but I struggle to have a guide line when it comes to mid range zoom. I've searched for hours and everyone seems to praise their own purchase leaving me in quite a fog over my head and more confusion about what to purchase to get the best "bang for buck".

My purpose of this new lens would be just a travelling tool, that's it. I don't want to bring my 6 lens and just enjoy the trip.

I don't have necessity for a telephoto since I already have: 70-300 afp vr, 100 2.8, 105 2.5 and 135 2.8.

What I found so far:

- Nikon 16-85 VR: Good performance but not super quick af or extreme IQ.
- Nikon 24-85 VR: For fx but really good sharpness.
- Nikon 18-200 VR: Inexpensive and useful range but not outstanding IR.
- Nikon 17-55 2.8: Great metal build, amazing IR. OK Af, very expensive.
- Nikon 18-55 AF-P VR: Amazing Af, okayish build, "good" optics, inexpensive.
- Nikon 18-80 2.8-4 VR: Okay build, okay af, faster glass. Expensive.

This is what I get from various comment / reviews but I might be wrong.

I've also seen some sigma and tamron but the low end were not really great with noisy af but the high end where great but expensive as well.

I'm not looking for the greatest of all times. But some insight would be super appreciated.

Thank you all.
