Sharing some photos in this post of some birds that i saw in our wetlands and mangroves in the Dominican Republic.

All shots taken with Sony A6000 + SEL 55-210 + 1.7x Tele extender.

C&C is always welcome.

Non-breeding adult plumage, one of the few pelicans that feed diving in water. Sometimes they eat eggs of other birds. - Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis)

Showing his long neck and beak - Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis)

Immature Bananaquit - (Coereba flaveola)

This bird lives near coasts, only found near salt water. They dive into open water looking for small fish to eat - Royal Tern (Thalasseus maximus)

Same species: Left with winter plumage and right with breeding plumage - Royal Tern (Thalasseus maximus)

Water bird on mangrove - Immature Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea)

It feeds on dead animals - Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura)
