I suspect technology has caught up a bit on that by now, and personally I think it would be a kickazz idea if you could afford it.

About thirty years ago I read an article about those monitors in Bill Gates mansion. Todays LCD's are so much better, bigger, higher resolution, better performance, lower power and a fraction of the cost. It makes much more sense to do this today, especially with just one monitor instead of dozens.
