Nice little compact with useful controls

This was my late fathers compact camera. and given to me by my mother.

Ironically, it was me who suggested it to him due to the control you have (he was an SLR user)

The suggestion was, he wanted a pocketable camera for their various holidays and going to the local camera shop, this was the best option for the price.

Now it is mine.

So, what is it like for someone who has both APS-C and FF DSLRs as well as a decent 1/1.7" compact? Well, it is a nice little camera. The controls are there, Av control as well as exposure compensation. Build is excellent too.

The LCD is a little less than desired, as it shows a lack of sharpness and artifacts from ISO400, but it is a lie. on the computer and photoshop they are fine.

Battery life is average though.

But, the access to controls and the fact it is so small, it is rather good.

Only real downside is that it does not shoot RAW, you would have to get a G90/95 of the same era for that. Shame really, is this camera is worthy of the ability to shoot it.

Sum up

A nice little well made camera with good controls.
