I got a new phone, and while I can connect the NX3000 with the older app, the new one (for NX500/NX1) doesn't seem to work.

What do we know about it?

Cheers.

One thing to be aware of with some Android phones/versions.

When you connect the phone to the camera wifi AP it connects  but sometimes a notification will  appear on the  phone for a short amount of time that informs you that the wifi you have connected to does not have internet connectivity and do you want to remain connected.  On my phone a Moto G5 Plus if I don't respond within something  like 5 seconds the notification disappears and the wifi connection is  dropped.  For me I have to select the notification and then select the keep connected  option.

Once I have done this then the Camera Manager App menu options now work.

If anyone knows how to turn off that behaviour I would be happy to know.

So my workflow for  connecting is as follows:

1.  Turn on Bluetooth and wifi on the camera, I use the menu options rather  than the  touch screen drop down as when I do it on touch screen drop down it prompts me to connect to a wifi AP

2. On your phone open up the Samsung Camera Manager App

3. If you haven't connected before then select the search button, this will eventually show the NX1, select the NX1 option and your phone should connect to your camera

4. The Samsung camera app should now give you the options Mobile Link, Remote Viewfinder, Bluetooth Shutter and Quick Transfer.

5 Select Mobile Link or Remote Viewfinder, these require Wifi connectivity.

6.Once you have selected one of the option the camera will now display a message saying connect to the AP_NX1

7.  On your phone go to your wifi connections and search for a wifi connection, there should be a AP_NX1 in the list, select this and it should connect.

8.  This is where some phone give you the above mentioned notification about no internet, just follow the steps I listed above.

This should now work.

I have noticed that sometimes it freezes and no matter what you do at this stage you cant connect, everytime you select something  on the phone app it says on the NX1 that it is already running.

You can get round this by going to you phone and deleting the wifi connection for the AP_NX1 and also go to your camera settings and go to my smartphone option and delete your listed smartphones.

Then repeat the above steps and it should now work.

Hope this helps
