Poll - MySets and Custom Modes, Oly & Pana

I've grown accustomed to using the custom modes on my Panasonic cameras. I generally have C1 set up for my best action configuration.

That way, if an opportunity suddenly presents itself, my reaction is to turn to C1 and shoot.

Then I have other modes defined for landscapes with RAW and whatever interests me at the time.

The last custom mode I often reserve to just store latest settings. So, if I'm working on one kind of image, and I want to turn away and do something quite different, but I want to save the settings for later, then I save them in the last custom setting.

One thing to note is that thee custome mode can also store the PASM mode. First you enter the desired PASM mode, e,g, Aperture priority, and then save to a custome mode. Now that custom mode is Aperture priority. IMO this could be improved a bit.

I like the Panasonic custom modes better than the Mysets on my E-M1 mk1.  E-M1 mkii may be better.

In a Panasonic custom mode I can save just about every camera setting, including button assignments and quick menu configuration. About the only things that don't save are the items on the localisation menu.

The E-M1i Mysets can be assigned to some menu item on the Mode dial, but you have to give up some other function, and there's no visiual indication, you have to remember the choice. Then, when you use the mode dial to activate your Myset, the custom button settings ( except for the 4 way buttons) are not restored. You can restore all the buttons by recalling the Myset from the main menu, but I find this much less useful.
