My opinion is that Pentax needs to fix this one. It has to be possible to set the direction manually.

Sure, for example if you were shooting Orion you could enter:

RA/Dec: 5hr36m17.26s, -5deg24'24.7"

And that plus the GPS and time is all it would need.

It would be Perfect!!!
