Is high iso useless ?
1

One day , I've asked myself what's the importance of the high isos as ( 25,600 and more.) They just take photos that are missing details and sharpness and full of noise .

When I see photos and galleries of many photographers in DPReview , 500px , flickr and many other websites . I see that more than 80% of photos don't go beyond the iso 6400 and some can enter the 8000 or 12800 but not 25600 or more . Even in very lowlight .

So, why many companies put massive isos as nikon D5 and D500 that can reach 1.6m iso or even more . And pentax k1 ii which was launched from about two weeks that has iso 409600 and 819200 and same with sony a7s series and more cameras .. Do anyone want to take noisy , poor detailed pics ? Why don't we only use a flash , fast aperture and slow shutter to take usable lowlight photos ?

Nikon D5 Nikon D50 Nikon D500 Pentax K-1 Sony Alpha a7 Sony Alpha a7S
