A7r3 pixel shift versus no pixel shift stack of 4 for a nightscape

Same processing, same lens, same tripod and tracker same location, conditions the same, different time though about 16 minutes apart. Both are small crops of a larger image each.

Quite a striking difference. Pixel shift makes nice low noise images, super fine detailed stars and considerably richer colour.

A7r3 Loxia 21mm F2.8 4 x 30 seconds ISO6400 tracked aligned and stacked

A7r3 pixel shift 30 seconds ISO64000 Loxia 21mm F2.8 tracked

Same processing has been done here. A more significant difference than I expected in both fineness of detail and colour depth.
