I made the suggestion to hire a guide for rich tourists, who spend thousands on their trip like the OP complained.

I rented a car, camped in the great NP camp grounds, eat bread with eggs and drank water for days, because there was nothing else to be had in the nearby markets, had great fun with car and tire repair "services", took on hitch hikers and had fascinating discussions with them and other locals about pollitics and daily life,  and yes, I had a great time. Among the best and most interesting times I ever had.

BTW, my photos were not as good as yours, but I got them on my own and I found the animals by own skill. My 3 visits to the continent (non counting Madagascar) each cost about 2000 per person for 4 weeks.
