Techniques for holding mirrorless cameras stable.

I want to develop better technique. I read a couple of articles about camera stabilization technique, but they all seem geared towards mirrored cameras: https://expertphotography.com/how-to-hold-a-camera/

I feel that mirrorless are actually a little easier to stabilize in the first place they have one less moving part I.E. the mirror second, they don't have to be exactly in front of your face, so they can just as easily be rested on a knee or flat surface like a counter top.

I wonder if there are any other nifty tricks for stabilizing these cameras when hand held, though shooting from the hip anyone?
