Wireless remote - any advantages of own brand?

Hi all,

I'm buying a (long overdue) wireless remote, and am considering the Amazon Basics version vs the Nikon version:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-Wireless-Control-Digital-Cameras/dp/B003L1ZYZ6/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1519414465&sr=1-4&keywords=nikon+trigger

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-4730-ML-L3-Remote-Control/dp/B00007EDZG/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1519414465&sr=1-5&keywords=nikon+trigger

One is £8 and the other is £20 - is there any reason not to get the Amazon basics version? I'm assuming both just trigger the shutter, and that if you are in Bulb mode you press once to trigger the shutter and once to close it?

Thanks
