Was poking around the X3F metadata and came across this little jewel:

BEGIN: CAMF matrix meta data (SensorISO)
float [1]
x: D0
89.2557
END: CAMF matrix meta data

The number itself is not unreasonable but I've never seen that tag on any other of my past or present Sigmas.

Well, the tag existed in all my cameras, duh, but it just shows the nominal "100" etc.

Meaning that the SD15 is a lot more precise when it comes to the so-called "ISO amplification". The number changes according to the selected ISO:

50 ISO: 63.113

200 ISO: 178.511

In my world, a sensor ISO should be fixed, i.e. "native", so I guess "ISO" in the context of this tag means something else ...

I find the precision of these numbers quite odd. I wonder if they are actual measured sensor ISO values, unique to each F13 sensor made ... what's in YOUR SD15 metadata?

Kalpanika command line: x3f_extract -meta SDIMnnnn.X3F
