Will you "upgrade" from an M5 to M50?

My answer is "Probably not".

To clarify. I don't use (or need) 4K video. All my photo work is stills. And I don't do selfies.

So, what has the M50 got that I might need?

Not a lot.

Side opening LCD. Actually, that takes longer to open up than the M5 if I want a logh level or low level photo.

Better sensor. In reality, how much better? I am not a pixel peeper - I print stuff.

Digic 8. I am not seeing a lot of issues with Digic 7. But there may be something in there that I "must" have. It won't be eye level focussing as most of my work is landscapes.

Enlarged AF area. That would be nice but I'm not convinced it's a deal breaker.

LPE-12 battery. That's nice as you can get fully enabled copies. But will it enable me to take better photos?

So, I will certainly try it out - but replace my M5? I'm not sure.

Alan
