What is the point of not having a 5k monitor today?

Personally if someone has an investment in high quality equipment and a passion for quality images and is not viewing them optimally on a 4k or 5k monitor I find that puzzling.

If you're not viewing images on a 5k monitor today what is the purpose of having 42MP, G-master, Zeiss or other pro lenses if you are restricting what you are capable of seeing on your screens. Why would any enthusiast place that limitation on their viewable IQ and PP abilities today?

It is akin to someone listening to a high end audio system being played through $49.00 speakers trying to determine how well the recording is or how it compares to another high end audio system. It is impossible to come to any meaningful conclusions when you cannot hear or see what the system/camera/lens is capable of.

I think it would be beneficial on DPreview to know what kind of screen users are using, be it the color of the users name or a symbol or ? indicating such so we can decide how much credibility to lend towards their evaluations of IQ on various cameras and lenses.
