Does X-A5 Represent Fuji Well?

Does it make sense to buy the X-A5 camera if I want to test drive the Fuji X system?

I am interested in Fuji’s X series. The thing that has held me back is autofocus speed.  My main camera is the Nikon 1 V3, so I am a bit spoiled when it comes to speed.

I like image stabilization on wide aperture prime lenses, which N1 does not have.

I take pictures of my kids, indoors & outdoors.

The new X-H1 has IBIS, but is very expensive.  The X-A5 has optical IS on the kit zoom, and I’ve read comments that it has fast & accurate autofocus.  Concern: Bayer sensor.

So if I picked up the X-A5 camera, would I miss out on the Fuji image quality I read so much about, since it does not have the X-Trans sensor?

Does the X-A5 have faster autofocus than the other X series cameras?
