Advice on tethering cables for A7RIII

I was looking for a tethering cable for my A7rIII.

The best one appears to be the Apple Thunderbolt 0.8m 40Gbps transmission and 100W charge.  The cable itself appears good quality.

Even Tethertools 3ft / 1m cable has only 10Gbps and unable to charge.

Beware when buying USB C cables, there are some that only charge and some that only transmit data.  You also need to check the speed of transmission as not all cables are the same.

If you are after 10ft (3m)/15ft (4.6m) cables then tethertools at 5Gbps appears to be the fastest transmission for that length of cable.  But unable to charge devices.

One thing I did find out was that I used my LG phone cable when connected to apple USBc dongle worked.  Speed seems okay as cable was around 0.5m long.  So if you want a cheap solution see what cable is used for your phone.

Hope this helps.

My two cents
