Can 16MP actually have advantage over 20MP?

Besides the obvious price advantage. Other possible advantage:

1) more likely to get sharp pics in slow shutter speed

2) faster RAW processing time

3) some lens may not be able to resolve more than 16MP anyway? (just guessing, like 14mm F2,5)

4) better high ISO.  I know DXO numbers say otherwise but I don't trust them. Why?

I have two 16MP camera NEX-5N and GM5.  It rate 5N a lot higher in high ISO

But what I see is the opposite at ISO 6400 using PRIME NR

if u ignore DXO it is usually accept that for same sensor size more megapixel have more noise

this is why A7s have 12MP and GH5s have 10MP

I am just starting a discussion. I am not saying this is really true

But the price of a 16MP E-M5 II (with weather seal and 5 stop IS ) compare with 20MP like GX9/Pen F is just too big to ignore

I am Just wondeing if 16MP actually have advantage besides price

Olympus E-M5 II Panasonic GH5S Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5 Sony a7S Sony Alpha NEX-5N
