A7Riii AF behaviour in low light

A question for owners of the A7Rii - preferably with Nikon AF experience:

The vibes I've been detecting is that the AF of the A7Riii tends to slow down considerably and hunt a bit when light levels drop, and is not on the same level of performance as Nikon (D750, D810, D850, etc.) bodies. I'm specifically referring to AF-C single focus point behaviour here.

What is your experience ?

Would you say the Sony is on par with the above-mentioned Nikon bodies under all conditions - and if not, where and what is the difference?

Remember - AF-C and single point only.

Any and all input from experienced users will be appreciated.
