Old Mac 10bit 4K
I have an old 2014 MBP Retina with 16gb ram, 256 HDD (with the standard graphics card).
I use it with an external monitor, 4TB HD, keyboard mouse etc to edit and grade 4k video at the moment with fcpx and color finale pro (mostly music videos and short documentaries).
So far the setup has worked great. However I will be getting a Panasonic GH5 soon, which shoots 10 bit 4k video. Will my setup be powerful enough to edit and grade these size files?
From the research I have done so far, some have said I will be ok, but will need to use proxy media to edit?
Thanks for any input.
