Not the first time I've posted pics of this stray polydactyl tomcat (Rudy) I adopted last year, and probably not the last, because the interwebs need kittys, right?

I saw him dragging this bunny onto the porch and grabbed my X-T2, fitted the 50-140, spun a few dials (forgetting the AF-C setting), and tried to grab a few shots.

Rudy was so distracted by my amateurish mistakes that he accidentally let go of the bunny!

which darted away right past me

Rudy caught him in the driveway!

The bunny sensibly played dead while I distracted the cat by walking around so he wasn't backlit!

And then darted away at the first opportunity

Gone! The bunny lives to see another day

I enticed Rudy onto the frozen pond ice by tossing a few pebbles out there.

Now that the action was over, I was finally in AF-C and continuous shooting mode, so I proceeded to fill up the card with a few more shots...
