G85 power lock-up

I've been using M43 cameras for about four years, mostly Olympus. In the last four months, I've been the owner of a new G85, and a user for about two months. The reason is my first copy of the G85 was sent in for service due to it locking up upon restart or after reviewing photos. The failure exhibited a black screen in the EVF and viewfinder with the On/Off switch unable to restore the camera. Unlocking the battery and then reinserting would clear the problem. The problem was repeatable and demonstrated to a Panasonic Technical Service Representative at the Seattle camera store point of purchase. Our testing included returning my copy and the store copy to their out-of-box configuration, and repeating the routine of taking some exposures, checking them in Playback, and going back to taking more exposures. My copy failed again after approx 120 exposures. I had noticed this several days before, been able the repeat the error (between 40 and 120 exposures would set it off). The Technical Service Representative agreed my copy needed to go into service, and they'd likely replace it since the error seemed isolated to my copy.  By the way he was very nice and fully understanding of my problem with the camera.  Thanks, Mark!

Fast forward to Jan 3 2018, and I received a different G85 from the service center. After about a week it failed to turn on, exhibiting just a black screen in the EVF and screen, un-responsive to the On/Off switch, and fixable by unlocking the battery and inserting it again. I chalked it up to a random failure, hoping for the best. Bought a Panasonic battery grip for it.

About seven weeks later on Feb 19, I was working an assignment, took the camera out of it's holster bag, turned it on, and nothing. Battery in the grip had a full charge day before when I checked it, so I unlocked the grip battery, reinserted it, turned it on and it worked. After a quick lunch, I returned to the project, turned the camera on, and failure again. Reseated the grip battery again, turned on, and it worked again.

Since I received the replacement G85, I've made changes to the configuration in the areas of Color Space, Direct Focus Area, Exposure Meter, Auto Review (set to Off), Dial Set / Assign Dial, Beep, Economy, Economy - Power Save LVF Shooting. and Delete Confirmation.

The memory card is a new SanDisk 32GB Extreme Pro U3 bought at the camera store when I received the replacement G85.

Question: Is this kind of behavior from this camera unusual for the G85 or Panasonics in general, or have I just been stuck with two lemons in a row?  Have people had problems with the Power Save LVF Shooting setting?

This is the first time I've had this kind of problem with either an analog or digital camera, and I've been using digital Nikons and Canons since the early 2000's, and Fuji and Olympus since approx. 2011.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
