AFP 70-300 resolving power on D5600/7500 etc

Hi. I am wondering what the resolving ability of the new AFP 70-300mm lens is like on the D5600 or D7xxx with the 24MP sensor.

The crop factor turns the 70-300 into a 105-450mm in 35mm terms.

If I crop to 12MP then I think I am effectively turning this into 675mm at the long end and if I crop to 6MP its effectively a 900mm lens.

I think I have that correct.

My question is has anyone done this and what are the results like. Is the lens up to this level of enlargement and are the images still excellent quality.

I am asking as I currently use a Nikon V1 with a 1" sensor and a CX 70-300 which gives me equivalent length of 189-810mm. Ideal for wildlife. I love the lens and reach but would love a better quality sensor without having to purchase or use a much larger telephoto lens.
