Multiple reflections in mirror?

The other day I was playing around with photographing still life images of objects on a mirror with a black background - the (in-)famous black background

Apart from the dustspecks on the mirror - those dried flowers sure shed a lot - which can be removed in post, I noticed that I also got more reflections in the mirror than I actually, really wanted.

As you can see in the image, three, even four, reflections (blue arrows) of the original object (red arrow).

I find those multiple reflections a bit distracting.

How do you deal with them?

  • Ignore them?
  • Remove them in post? (A bit tedious, really...)
  • Get a better mirror? If that, which?
  • ...?

Regards, Mike
