Your wishlist for future updated Nikkor f1.8 primes ?

The nikkor f1.8 primes lineup are consumer grade lenses and for the money they're absolutely fantastic. But they're also old now and can use a refreshment. Here's my wishlist:

  1. Improved sharpness. Well that's a given, while the current f1.8g primes are very sharp, they're not sharp enough to take full advantage of high megapixel body. Take for example the current 85mm f1.8g only gives 27 perceptual megapixel out of the 36mp sensor of the D810, with the D850 the efficiency will be even less. Compared to the new Sony 85mm f1.8 prime which is another consumer lens and is slightly more expensive, but get 40 perceptual megapixel out of an 42mp sensor.
  2. Better contrast. Frankly the contrast of the f1.8 primes that I've owned isn't all that great I still see a lot of haze zooming it.
  3. Much less chromatic aberration. Now that's a must fix, the nikkor f1.8 primes that I've owned have a lot of chromatic aberration wide open, in many case it ruins color and is a big pain to remove in post (nope, automatic CA removal in Lightroom doesn't work, and it can only be removed manually)
