A Few Fisheye Landscapes
2

Hello,

Just continuing to use the Samyang 8/2.8 fisheye a bit more. These shots range from barely perceptibly to strongly “fishy”. All were shot recently in City Park, Mid City New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, with an X-T1.

Processed with Iridient Developer and Mac Photos, mostly exposed to preserve highlights in clouds followed by lifting shadows, some HDR using the Nik app; no distortion correction applied.

Comments or questions welcomed.

A couple of Fuji cameras and assorted X-mount and adapted primes

Runners crossing the miniature railroad tracks on approach to Museum of Art.

Bridge just to the side of the sculpture garden, looking back toward Carrollton Avenue; pretty obvious distortion but the corrected (lensfun) version was less appealing to me.

Lagoon along the south (riverward) side of the approach to the Museum of Art; curved bank at bottom is a stereogaphic fisheye effect.

The same bridge depicted earlier, now from near water level; used three shot HDR bracket to try to get cloud highlights and shadow detail.

View toward Orleans Avenue from the bridge depicted above; 8 mm really exaggerates distance to bridge.

Pedestrian bridge over canal separating Grow Dat youth garden project from disc golf and trail area, looking toward disc golf area (lakeward). Surprisingly little sterographic  “distortion”  visible.
