Reminiscing about good things that happened in Q1 and Q2 doesn't change what happened in Q3.

Mirrorless sales (up 7%), revenue (up 1%) and profit (up 77%) YTD includes Q3 data.

If you compare Olympus Imaging Q1-Q3 results to their Q1-Q4 forecast, it looks like they are forecasting a 0.5 BY loss for Q4. They had a 0.1 BY loss in Q3, so that would make two money losing quarters in a row.

Based on...forecast. Q3 and Q4 last year included the launch of their last big product. Nobody would be surprised if those successful quarters dwarfed this years Q3/Q4. There is nothing interesting here. All expected based on launch cycle.

Olympus was surprised. That's why they had lower their forecast.

In 3Q Olympus' Imaging division had an operating loss. In business, losing money is considered to be a bad thing.
