Panasonic Canada going downhill ...
4

About a year ago I purchased the Panasonic 100-400. I'm quite happy with the lens and starting to think about a second tripod foot.

I treid Panasonic Canadas website and found 1) No Panasonic contact for support 2) For accessories and parts, customers are referred to Reliable Parts, a general purpose parts store that sells parts for barbeques, dishwashers and mcrowaves. They list Panasonic, but only refer to Panasonic appliances.

A few years past I contacted Panasonic Canada for a new rear lens cap and found that they were no longer supplying lens caps. Well, OK, I can buy aftermarket lenscaps for cheap. But this is a new low.

With this kind of non-support, I no longer see myself buying any new Pansonic M43 gear. GX9 may be an useful upgrade from my GX7, and the 200/2.8 lens is possible if I get a nice bonus some year. But sorry, not without after sales support.
