Google Pixel + LR > Better pics than D3200!

I'm currently camera-less since i sold my nex5r and d3200 to buy something better, recently I found something interesting..which has made me think twice .

Here are pics taken by someone with the google pixel gen1 , and the D3200 with sigma 18-35mm F1.8 (so not the cheap kit lens...)

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0GTzYPASF8iWm5mbWtaWE9iRVE

download both of the folders and compare the pics directly without zooming in (no pixel peepers please!) ...I can't really tell a difference when comparing them directly..

Than I decided to import the Pixel pictures in lightroom and play around, after a few simple edits, all of the pics looked WAY better than the Unedited d3200 pics.. Than I imported the d3200 pics in lightroom and you could tell straight away that you can retrieve so much more details with d3200 and process them much further. however again.. the processed Pixel VS processed D3200 pics.. I couldn't tell much of difference really between the 2 except in low light conditions.

So I'm now thinking about just ditching the idea of getting another entry level dslr D3400 and just getting an used pixel for £200 , I only shoot in good light all the time, I'm not a pro however I want GOOD pictures, I use my camera only occasionally and I shoot mostly only on auto+raw and do my editing after I take the pics. I shrink my final pictures to small ebay/web friendly sizes so I have no super hi-megapixel needs anyways.

95% of my pictures are taken with my old crap phone  (moto G3) anyway as I always have it with me , I only used the dslr when I needed something for not my personal use and in way better quality, however seems like the phones now have really evolved and ARE comparable to an entry level DSLR if you don't plan to shoot in low-light and only care about the actual image quality in the sizes 99% of the time the pic will be viewed anyway?
