QD sling attachments - genius!

After going to my fair share of slings/straps, I finally found the one I am going to stick to: QD attachments. QD is widely used in the military to attach slings to rifles. Having spent my time in the army, there's one thing I learned: if it works for the military, it's idiot-proof.

So, my setup right now: RRS modular L-bracket with two QD attachment points and a Magpul MS4 sling.

The advantages:
- the RRS is attached not only to the tripod socket but also via a screw through one of the sling attachmend points. If one of both ever became loose, it's still attached by the other one. I additionally used Loctite to fix the screws.
- QD attachents are, as said, the only quick-release system that IMHO is really secure (unless consiering way bulkier systems)
- no plastic connectors or flisy fabric left in the whole setup.

Next steps:
- get plates with QD connectors for long-lenses
- can I put QD connectors on my tripod? I think I will find something....

Dear manufacturers:
- put QD connectors on stuff
