Are differences in perspective between lenses due only to the working distance associated with the field of view, or does the lens actually change the perspective.
For example will a 50mm lens on a APS-C have about the same perspective as a 85mm on a full frame sensor?
I've been looking at these reviews of 85mm lenses and I'm wondering what the best way to get that flattering perspective is on an APS-C sensor.
Also, on the wider angle, ultra wide or fisheye even, is the same true. Is a 12mm fisheye just a 18mm ultra wide, on an APS-C, because you'll end up shooting at a further distance to get the same field of view?
