Re: From E-P5 to 4K

I use both the E-M5 II and the GX85 for video.

The E-M5 II doesn't do 4K but its 1080p is good. It also has better IBIS and a mic input.

The GX85 does have 4K but no mic input so you have to record sound separately and sync in post or try to make do with the on camera mics. The GX85 does have really good IBIS but the E-M5 II is noticeably better.

When I shoot video with only one camera its almost always with the E-M5 II because the better IBIS and built in mic input make post processing easier and faster and right now that's more important to me than 4K. I also seem to correct white balance in mixed lighting less on the E-M5 II than the GX85.

I would suggest looking at the G85, it has 4K video, good IBIS and a mic input. If you don't mind used I've seen it under $700 and if you can wait I've seen both new and demo models around $700 from time to time.
