B&W infrared with the sdQ
5

Having previously owned the SD15 and SD1M, I'm finding  that b&w infrared photography is quite a bit easier, on my newly acquired sdQ. Live view is a big plus, and the ability to take monochrome IR images SOOC, is much better than having to process muddy red images in SPP. Only snow and ice in these sdQ test shots with a 720nm filter, but nice black skies, and some 'Wood Effect' in conifers. I'm not sure why the monochrome setting on sdQ produces excellent tones with a on-lens IR filter, whereas the SD15 and SD1M do not.

Cheers, Gary
