I think Panasonic nailed it.

The GX9 has 5 axis IBIS, the best m4/3 sensor, a beautiful design, no OLPF, great ergonomics, a built-in flash, all the bells and whistles specs.

But I think Panasonic got especially two things right : its size and price.

It seems as the new "essential" m4/3 camera.

What do you think about it?

I'm a GX8 user so this GX9 is a downgrade in so many ways...but even if I was a GX80/85 user, the fact Panasonic continues to use their field sequential EVF, even though every single review criticize it

Every single review mentions it, because for some people, the tech is a problem. For me, it works perfectly fine and I see no unusual artifacts. I actually like the EVF of my GX7 better than that on my previous G6 of the same generation. The G6's had greater magnification, but the GX7's showed more detail and better color.

I am still quite happy with my GX7. I just want the bigger EVF of the GX8 now.

, makes no sense. Sony has a non-field sequential EVF on their RX100 series for goodness sake! What in the world were they thinking?
