Guidance with birding and other difficult to shoot wildlife
3

Hi all, I am hoping to get some feedback on some birding shots I took on a recent outing near my neighborhood in CA. Over the past year I've just started getting more into birding, so I'm spending more time trying to find birds and get close enough to take a decent photo without scaring them than anything else.

If I was to critique myself, I would say the photos look bit dreary, so the white sky background is kind of boring, or maybe the pine tree is distracting on the first image. I'm not sure what I could have done about this other than try again another day. I'd be very curious to know how you may have approached these differently to get a more interesting shot. Or maybe I should have waited long enough to get a BIF picture.

Any constructive feedback you have about post processing would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
