Why the price differential between SD1 and SD-Q?

Obviously the SD1 has the Merrill sensor instead of the Quattro. It's also a DSLR instead of mirrorless. But those two features can't be responsible for a $1300 premium over the SD-Q + 30mm ART combo, can it? Am I missing something significant?

I'd appreciate any feedback. I've been tempted to get a Sigma for a while now, and I figured I'd get an APS-C to start with (in hopes that Sigma eventually releases a full-frame). I don't particularly have any preference between Merrill or Quattro - both look really good.

I've been a Canon shooter for a while, and I really enjoy the battery longevity of DSLRs, but I don't think I'd enjoy it enough to entertain a $1300 premium over a mirrorless + lens (a good lens from what I hear) combo. Unless the Merrill has a big ace up its sleeve?
