Re: O.K. I re-shot my bike - no IBIS this time

I have to agree with you. I will probably get a Sony A6000 with MC-11 adapter and try this test again, but with the exact same lens on both cameras. That will allow me to avoid getting another lens, and I'll probably sell my Sony and all the lenses I have for it. That will pretty much pay for the A6000, I guess. Then I'll be able to concentrate on just getting lenses for my SD1 and not worry about anything else. I'll be able to use the Sony for shooting video, fast stills (i.e. 11 fps), and high-ISO stuff. I'm sure the A6000 offers better image quality than the A65 too, because it doesn't have that pellicle mirror blocking some of the light and probably causing some distortion of the image, which might be the cause of the patchiness you're seeing. I may be able to shoot photos with my new telescope using the mirrorless camera too, since it has a shorter flange distance. (I was unable to focus to infinity with my A65 or my SD1 when I wanted to shoot the eclipse with that telescope, unfortunately.)

I'll revisit this thread or just start another when I get the mirrorless camera.
