Amazon Prime members get unlimited photo storage using their Cloud Drive service; it recognizes RAW as well as the usual photo formats.

I looked into that. It would take around two months for the initial seed, and I don't know what effect incrementals would be. For one or two TB of data that might work, but I have around 8TB. I have a direct connected backup, and another I store off-site. Every week (or so) I swap them. A sneakernet of sorts.

The new server I am putting together will have 20TB initially, with room for another 60TB. It's all on ZFS raid-z2, which is good for local data integrity but not a disaster recovery solution.

Lots of data involves lots of heavy lifting, eventually.
