Fuji film styles vs RAW
2

I read many people here which are shooting JPEG because they love the Fuji styles. Styles are indeed very nice and I perfectly get the point : the most important is the general lokk of the picture (colors, tones...) and not pixel level details. But one does loose so many details and PP possibilities while relying on a camera-embedded JPEG converter !! It would be nice to get the best of both world.

Not sure if everybody knows, but it is possible and easy to shoot RAW and the PP very efficiently, yet getting results which are very close to the beloved styles.

It's using LUTs and it's here : https://blog.sowerby.me/fuji-film-simulation-profiles/ (thank you Stuart Sowerby.

He provides very convincing rendering samples (OOC Jpeg vs RAW+style).

LUTs are supported at least by Affinity, Luminar, RAWTherapee, Darktable.

I have only one question : I'm using Darktable and it appears that applying the styles darken the pictures by approx 1/2 stop? Do you experience the same issue ?
