Sony Alpha A5100 successor? A5200? A5300? A5500?
Re: A great mystery to me
Sony's 6K to 4K video conversion is the best there is at this price point, the a6300/6500 and a9 (plus a99/A7RII/III in APS-C mode to a lesser extent) do it perfectly. Colour moire is almost absent and the competition don't come close (see here https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr29_0=sony_a6300&attr29_1=canon_eos1dxii&attr29_2=nikon_d850&attr29_3=panasonic_dcgh5&attr72_0=4k&attr72_1=c4k&attr72_2=4k&attr72_3=4k&normalization=full&widget=469&x=0.20047440508072528&y=-0.5939051127867743 ), Sony needs plenty of encouragement to move this video technology forward with higher frame rates, an a5100 successor for Vloggers with 6K to 4K 24Mpix sensor would be fab. Panasonic are storming ahead but only with the smaller cooler sensor, I'm holding out for Sony, not ready to sell all those bodies and lenses to jump ship just yet. Looking forward to 2018 SONY! How about a 6K to 2K conversion option (with limited time and lots of overheating) to vastly improve HD too?
