Let's look at some facts to help guiding us:

Full frame extreme corner sharpness (MTF50 (lpmm) at 35mm f/4.0 from Lenstip.com:

16-35L IS: 28 lpmm

24-70L II: 31 lpmm (calculated as average of 24mm and 45mm measures)

35L II: 36 lpmm

Chromatic and spherical aberration:

16-35L IS: 0.04%

24-70L II: 0.14% (calculated as average of 24mm and 45mm measures)

35L II: 0.04%

If the 3 lenses were all focused at exactly the same distance and they all have a theoretical flat focal plane, we would see the following characteristics:

35L II: Sharpest extreme corner with relatively low CA

16-35L IS: Unsharpest corner with relatively low CA

24-70 L II: Less sharp corner than 35L with relatively highest CA

Based on my humble evaluation of the 3 pictures I would suggest the following:

A: 16-35L IS

B: 35L II

C: 24-70L II
