If it is the last version Minolta MD 50mm 1:2 (without Rokkor inscription) it can be an excellent lens. The MD Rokkor 50mm 1:2 version is very good too, but the last version (plain MD) is even better.

I myself use it very often on a Sony A7, because it has nearly no focus shift an has really excellent contrast and sharpness.
