Pansonic G7 camera causes pauses in video when taking stills

If your camera is set to make full res shot when making 4k stream- then yes. Camera has to stop for a moment to process a shot. You can set it however to take only 8MP shot out of 4K stream and then there is no interruption.

I had setup the camera to record a 1080 50i 17M video so maybe it's not what you suggested.

Ok now I´ve got it. But the same principle applies. Whenever you are making pics during video shooting you have two options. Keep the resolution same as video rec stream or take a full res shot. Full res shot will cause this interruption. Otherwise - with 1080 res - ther will be no interrupt - but as an output you will get only 2M JPG. Hope I described it clearly now.

In my case I'd prefer an uninterrupted video.
