This will be the best camera ever ...

Until now , we don't see any mirrorless ( or even DSLR ) camera that has complete features without many disadvantages .

-Nikon D850 is the best DSLR until now and it is

heavy , bulky ,

video/live view autofocus is still a crap ,

no full articulating screen ,

many people don't like OVF ,

camera menu settings can be better .

-Sony A7R III is the best mirrorless until now and it has

short battery life ( compared to same-level DSLRs ) ,

ergonomics and size are not good for people with big hands , no full articulating screen ,

smaller range of lenses with higher price ,

many people don't like EVF ,

menu settings can be better .

There are also some common problems with DSLRs as : big size , heavy (weight) , sometimes there are issues with front and back focus , mechanic shutter should now replace with more efficent electronic shutters.

There are also some common problems with mirrorless as : some of them have smaller size than we want so, it becomes difficult to handle and control , short battery life , less lenses range than DSLRs , AF still lags behind DSLRs when tracking fast moving objects .

..................................................................................................................

*So, How can camera manufacturers make a complete camera ( camera with almost all features ) .

First, I think it shouldn't be a DSLR . DSLRs are old technologies that are heavy , bulky and use mirrors , prisms ( for optical viewfinder ) , mechanical shutter and all those affect on size and weight , even the smallest DSLR ( sl1 / sl2 ) are bigger than higher end sony mirrorless ( as a6500 ) , even though there are some mirrorless that are quite bigger than DSLRs . So, mirrorless is better for size , weight .

Yes, mirrorless still lag behind DSLRs in AF tracking for fast objects and battery life isn't impressive as DSLRs but the technology is improving and mirrorless might outperform DSLRs in AF , battery .

Second,it should feature a hybrid viewfinder so, people can use either OVF or EVF ( as they want ) .

Third, it should has a new designed sensor with ( stacked or BSI cmos features) .

it should also has a curved sensor , there were many patents and rumors about curved sensors and we became excited to see a camera with it . it should definitely improve iso performance and DR .

.......................................................................................................................

I'm sure you've heard about the new mirrorless from Canon , Nikon . we want them to be complete cameras as we were talking above so here is  wishlist for ( Canon/Nikon ) fullframe mirrorless :

1- A new stacked or BSI sensor to improve IQ .

2- No AA-filter for sharper photos ( Hey Canon , we don't need AA-filter ) and they can replace it with image processing that can reduce moire .

3- 4K video @ 30p/60p . FHD @ 480p .

4- Improved AF .

5- hybrid VF .

6- C-log.

7- For Canon : using EF mount ( instead of lower end EF-M mount )                                            For Nikon : using nikon F mount ( instead of the leaked Z mount ).

so, we won't use adapters and have the same large range of lenses . size doesn't matter.

8- Faster shooting speed and better buffer .

9- good size ( not too small or too large ) for better ergonomics .

10- better battery life ( 800 or more shots/charge ).

11- Full articulating touchscreen .

12- More features and innovations ( in-body IS , panorama , pixel shift , ISO 64 for improved DR , Dual pixel AF for video , more rugged body and more .. )

.................................................................................................................

If the new cameras have the features above , Do you think they will be complete cameras ?

What can we add to the features above to make a more complete camera ?

Canon EOS Rebel SL1 (EOS 100D) Canon EOS Rebel SL2 (EOS 200D / Kiss X9) Nikon D850 Sony a6500 Sony Alpha a7R III
