Thanks very much for a very detailed post Philip. I will copy this information to a Word document for future reference. I won’t do any adjustments before heading north on Sunday. I know I will take thousands of images on this trip and I will evaluate the results and do testing or fine tuning as needed.

much appreciated, Carol

You're welcome. The woolly shot I saw looked great.

A good practice would be, while you roam around during your trip, to keep an eye open for good AF targets like sings and such where there's a detailed fore- and background visible on the ground and just shoot some test images at different settings while you walk. Then analyse at leisure later at home.

Have a nice trip.

That is a great idea Philip. Probably a good idea to do with all my lenses.
